My name is Jackie Rose. I am an Illinois educator! I taught kindergarten for five years, served as an elementary school administrator for five years, and am currently taking a year off as a stay-at-home momma.
Growing up, school was my escape from the chaos that I had going on in my life and my teachers always did a great job of making school feel like a home for me. I knew throughout this time that teachers had an important role that stretched far beyond teaching the yearlong standards to their students. When I graduated with my Elementary Education degree, I was ready to create that home away from home that children need.
In my mind, children are seeds of possibility; when the conditions are right, the seeds will spout. I want all children who enter my classroom/office space to realize how important they truly are. My goal is to encourage children to let their natural curiosity flourish and help them on their journey to becoming a life-long learner.

In my free-time, I enjoy exercising, ice skating, taking photos, scuba diving, spending time with my family, and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks!
I am currently working on pushing myself outside of my comfort zone in education. My goal is to support educators in their practice and develop resources to make their classrooms both a wonderful environment and memorable place of learning.
